For the second year in a row ALICAT Avril Lemieux has showcased her collection and closed Couture Fashion Week at the Waldorf Astoria. Last year the Waldorf was hosting a number of dignitaries and though this year there weren’t any Bill Clinton sightings, as there were the previous, those in attendance witnessed something even more compelling – the unveiling of ALICAT’s new line “Stolen Loot”. Influenced by high rollers, follies girls, and robbers who appear to be free but in reality are chained to their game of money and greed the line features, interestingly enough – diamond studded handcuffs. Instead of capturing the runway action ALICAT allowed me full access for the day which enabled me to photograph the calm, the chaos and everything that fell in between. Here’s how our day turned out …
